Angelina Jolie
An American actress and model, Angelina Jolie was born in Los Angeles, California on June 4, 1975 to actor Jon Voight and French actress Marcheline Bertrand. At 14, Jolie began her career as a fashion model.
In 1997, the actress starred as Cornelia Wallace in the television film “George Wallace” and won Golden Globe for “Best Supporting Actress”. In 1998, Angelina received Golden Globe and SAG Award for Best Leading Actress in the television film “Gia”. Same year, she won National Board of Review Award for outstanding performance in the film “Playing by Heart”.
For her role in the film “Girl, Interrupted”, Angelina won three awards that include Golden Globe, SAG Award, and Academy Award for the category “Best Supporting Actress”. The actress is well known for her role as Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001). Jolie starred with co-star Brad Pitt in the major box office success “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” in 2005.
