Halle Berry
An American actress and model, Halle Berry was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 14, 1968. Before starting her acting carrer, Halle participated in various beauty contests including Miss Ohio USA, Miss Teen All American, Miss USA and Miss World. In 1985, she won the Miss Teen All-American Beauty Pageant.
In 1989, Berry started her acting career with a role on the short-lived sitcom “Living Dolls”. In 1991, Halle got her first breakthrough role when she was cast as a drug addict named Vivian in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever. Halle was voted #41 in the Maxim magazine’s “Hot 100 of 2005″.
In 1992, Berry appeared in the romantic comedy Boomerang. In the 1999, she starred in the film, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge and was also nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award. Halle won the Best Actress Academy Award for her wonderful performance in the movie “Monster’s Ball”. Halle Berry is the first African American woman who have won best actress award.
