Katie Holmes
An American actress, Katie Holmes was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 18, 1978 to Martin and Kathleen. Katie did her graduation from the Notre Dame Academy. At the age of 14, Katie attended a modeling school in Toledo. She did a modelling for some time but after realising that it wasn’t challenging enough, Katie moved to Los Angeles to audition for movies.
In 1997, Holmes starred in her first movie “The Ice Storm”. In 1998, Katie earned a lead role in the movie “Disturbing Behavior”. In 2000, Holmes appeared in a minor role in the film “Wonder Boys”.Same year, Katie starred in another movie “The Gift”. In 1999, the actress won MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Female Performance.
Her other film credits include: Phone Booth (2002), Abandon (2002), The Singing Detective (2003), Pieces of April (2003), First Daughter (2004) and Thank You for Smoking (2006).
