Even 5 months later, Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty is still feeling the effects of a kiss from Richard Gere.
Immigration officials at Mumbai airport briefly detained Shetty, saying she was still wanted for obscenity charges filed in the wake of the public kiss with the Hollywood star, her publicist, Dale Bhagwagar, said Thursday.

Shetty was in tears late Wednesday after being stopped at the airport while on her way to Berlin where the musical “Miss Bollywood” opens this weekend, said Bhagwagar. Shetty plays the musical’s lead role.
Gere embraced and kissed Shetty on her cheek at a public AIDS awareness event in New Delhi in April, sparking an outcry among conservative hardline Hindus, who claimed the pair had violated the country’s strict anti-obscenity laws.

Shetty, a well-known actress in India, became an international star after her appearance on the British reality show “Celebrity Big Brother.”

Salma Hayek has given birth to a baby girl on September 21, Valentina Paloma Pinault, her publicist announced Friday.
“Mother and child are doing well,” publicist Cari Ross said in a statement. No other details were released.
It is the first child for the 41-year-old Mexico-born actress, who is engaged to French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault.

Hayek, who has appeared in more than thirty films, is currently enjoying success as an executive producer of the hit U.S. TV series Ugly Betty. She is also chief executive of Ventanazul, a production company she formed with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc.

Pinault, 45, is the chief executive officer for luxury goods company PPR SA, which owns such high end labels as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and Puma. He has two children from a previous marriage which ended in divorce in 2004.

On Wednesday, Denise Richards filed a motion to a judge to “protect her children” from her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, hoping that Sheen’s overnight privileges with their daughters would be revoked.
The document was not yet released, but her attorney said that Richards is seeking “the assistance of the court to obtain orders to protect her children” from Sheen.

Rumors are being spread that Richards accuses Sheen of “inappropriate behavior … and conduct,” including “his attraction to underage women and his sexual explicitness on the Internet, including revealing his private parts.”

In response, Sheen snapped back that Richards “behaves as though she owns our children. She does not. A day of legal reckoning for her is fast approaching.” Sheen’s lawyer, Lance Spiegel, also says that nearly “all of these allegations were previously raised and were denied by Mr. Sheen.”

Alicia Silverstone dropped her cloth in a television spot for the animal rights group PETA.

The 30-second ad was to air about two dozen times in Houston on Wednesday, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said.

Silverstone is shown emerging from a swimming pool and She obscures the view of her body with her arms as she gets out of the pool.

“I wasn’t always a vegetarian, but I’ve always loved animals,” the 30-year-old actress said in a statement. “Physically, the effect has been amazing.”

Katherine Heigl has optioned film rights to the bestselling dramatic novel “Lost & Found” for her new production banner and will produce it with her mother and producing partner Nancy Heigl.
